"Dear children! In this time of grace, when nature also prepares to give the most beautiful colors of the year, I call you, little children, to open your hearts to God the Creator for Him to transform and mould you in His image, so that all the good which has fallen asleep in your hearts may awaken to a new life and a longing towards eternity. Thank you for having responded to my call."
What is The MIR Group?
The MIR Group is a non-profit (501) (c3) organization comprised of people the world over who attempt to disseminate a peaceful message of Our Lady of Medjugorje. Our work consists primarily of coordinating events, which provide the faithful with a very special atmosphere conducive to prayer. We particularly promote Marian devotion, knowing that when one comes to know the Mother of God, she always leads them to her Son, Jesus. Each month on the 25th of the month Our Lady gives a message to the world. The MIR Group has an extensive e-mail list of devotees receiving this message – it is also posted on this website. We co-host a monthly Peace Mass responding to our Mother’s request to Pray for Peace. It is our privilege to bring many people to Medjugorje on pilgrimage – we especially coordinate a group of teens and young adults each summer. Please visit www.catholicjourneys.com for more details on our pilgrimages.
The MIR Group is supported by your prayers and your donations. We thank you for that! Please do contact us for more information on the ministry of The MIR Group and Our Lady’s Message from Medjugorje.
March 2, 2010 Message to Mirjana
Given to the visionary Mirjana Soldo
"Dear Children, In this special time of your effort to be all the closer to my Son, to His suffering, but also to the love with which He bore it, I desire to tell you that I am with you. I will help you to triumph over errors and temptations with my grace. I will teach you love, love which wipes away all sins and makes you perfect, love which gives you the peace of my Son now and forever. Peace with you and in you, because I am the Queen of Peace. Thank you."

The Sojourners of the Burning Heart is a prayer based youth group made up of teens and young adults. For the past four years, the Sojourners have had the tremendous blessing and opportunity to travel to Medugorje, in Bosnia-Herzegovina, where apparitions of the Blessed Mother have been appearing to six visionaries for the past 28 years. On top of this trip, the Sojourners also have prayer meetings several times a month to keep the fire flowing. A great devotion to the Blessed Mother has grown within the group, and the Sojourners have looked to Our Lady in prayer so that the group may come closer to Jesus Christ, through His Blessed Mother.
The Sojourners of the Burning Heart is an open group, and anyone and everyone is invited to join!!!

Prayer for the Saints
When John Mecom, the original owner of the Saints, decided to name the franchise the "Saints" he called Archbishop Philip Hannan to make sure the Catholic community would not be offended. Archbishop Hanna assured Mr. Mecom that Catholics would not be offended. But he cautioned Mr. Mecom, "You do know that many of the saints of the Church were Martyrs."
Prayer for the Saints Delivered by Most Reverend Philip M. Hannan at the first Saints and Sinners Banquet, 1968.
God, we have asked your blessing upon all who participate in this event, and all who have supported our Saints. Our heavenly Father, who has instructed us that the "saints by faith conquered kingdoms... and overcame lions", grant our Saints an increase of faith and strength so that they will not only overcome the Lions, but also the Bears, the Rams, the Giants, and even those awesome people in Green Bay.
May they continue to tame the Redskins, and fetter the Falcons as well as the Eagles. Give to our owners and coaches the continued ability to be as wise as serpents and simple as doves, so that no good talent will dodge our draft. Grant to our fans perseverance in their devotion and unlimited lung power, tempered with as sense of charity to all, including the referees.
May our beloved "Bedlam Bowl" be a source of good fellowship and may the "Saints Come Marching In" be a victory march for all, now and in eternity.
--Philip M. Hannan, Archbishop of New Orleans.
Interview with Cardinal Schonborn
Interview with Cardinal Schonborn in the Vercernji List Newspaper 01/04/2010
From Vecernji List daily newspaper for Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina
“Medjugorje is again in the center of attention, church and public as well. Though the visit of Cardinal Shonborn is private, it did not leave anybody indifferent because he is the member of Congregation for Doctrine of Faith. We talked to Cardinal while he was visiting Medjugorje.
“We came here to be close to the Lord’s mother”, you said during the Christmas Eve Mass, Your Eminence. These words had a great echo. We would like you to explain them?”
Cardinal: “We cannot deny that pilgrims have been coming over here for the past 20 years, as we can not deny what they experience in Medjugorje and how close they feel to the Blessed Mother. This is my first visit, but since I’ve been a Bishop since 1991. I have simply noticed the fruits of Medjugorje.
Interviewer: “What kind of fruits are you talking about?”
Cardinal: “I will give you couple of examples: vocation calls for priesthood. Lots of our young priests have received their vocation call here, but not strictly in Medjugorje but because of Medjugorje. The second thing is conversions. I am impressed that that happens in every level of society, from noble families, industrials down to the common little people. Flying from Vienna, via Zagreb to Split I was asked by a security guard where I was going and I told him I was going to Medjugorje. All of sudden his face started shining and he told me that he had his conversion in Medjugorje as well. Couple of weeks ago on one small railway station one worker told me his story. His wife died of cancer and he was desperate and his friends brought him to Medjugorje. He has received the strong and living faith over here. The third evidence is the healings. A young man who was addicted to drugs told me that he was almost forced by his friends over here. He told me while the bus was entering to Medjugorje something happened with him. Especially he was healed immediately and all of us know how long that healing lasts. The fourth evidence is the prayer groups. I’ve known this Medjugorje Prayer Group from Vienna since the period when I wasn’t the Bishop. I’ve known them since 1980’s. To us Dominicans it was very meaningful that these people pray for hours and their church is always full. The Dominican churches in Vienna are rarely so full, on Thursday nights the church was always full. They stayed faithful to the prayer till today. Jesus said that the bad tree doesn’t bear any fruits. Which means: if the fruits are good than the tree is good as well.”
Dear brothers and sisters here in the church and on the squares in front of the church, and in the yellow hall... We are all conscious of the fact that it is a big privilege to not have to celebrate the New Year with champagne. (laughter) Maybe later. (laughter and applause)
But now we are allowed to celebrate the beginning of the New Year with Mary and Joseph and with the child that is lying in the manger and with the shepherds. These days, we have all come to Medjugorje to be especially close to the Mother of the Lord. To be more exact, we have to say that we have come here because we know that the Mother of the Lord wants to be close to us. With her, we want to begin the New Year. And the first thing that moves me when I think about the manger and the shepherds is that there were no angels present. Here there is an angel at the nativity set (points), but in the gospel there are no angels there. They were on the hills with the shepherds. An entire host of angels. But Mary and Joseph only heard about it. The shepherds told them. We also didn't see the Gospa. But there are people here who told about it. And we trust that the Mother of God really is close to us.
Cardinal Schönborn speaks at St. James Church in Medjugorje. On December 30, 2009, Cardinal Christoph Schönborn, Archbishop of Vienna and a member of the Vatican's Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, gave a powerful, lengthy talk at St. James Church in Medjugorje.
Schönborn's talk revolved around the theme of God's mercy, and he did not hesitate to praise Medjugorje.
His first words as he stepped to the podium were "Hvaljen Isus i Marija," a Croatian phrase that means "Praised be Jesus and Mary." This is a common greeting among the visionaries and Medjugorje villagers. The Cardinal repeated it several times and urged the crowd to repeat it with him.
He went on to say "When you look at a place like Medjugorje, you can see a superpower of mercy. Many merciful deeds were born here or they were supported here."
This is a video made by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Committee on Vocations and Priestly Formation in order to give people a look in on the life of a Roman Catholic Priest and invite young men to open their hearts to the call.

Jason Jones is the producer of "Bella" and one of the speakers for the MIR Group for next year. Please take a look at his website and please forward to your pro-life supporters, friends and family (sign the pledge, too, okay?).
I believe that it is so very important to support the members of the entertainment industry who are making the switch to the "Culture of Life" after too long of a time serving the "Culture of Death." People like Jason Jones and Steve McEveety (producer, Passion of the Christ) are making a difference. I think we need to help them. They can reach so many, more more through the films that they produce.
